BaccaratPlay your cards right and you could be a winner!
In the game of Baccarat the Player is given three choices: to bet on his own hand, to bet on the banker’s hand or to bet on a tie between the two. The odds on betting on either hand are 1:1, even money, meaning that if you bet $5, you get $5 back, plus $5 more. When you bet on a tie, the odds are 8:1, meaning that if you bet $5 you get $40 back. Each Player is dealt two cards from a shoe of 6 to 8 decks. The object is for those two cards to add up to as close to 9 as possible. The cards 2 through 9 represent their face value, with the Ace counting 1, and with 10 and the face cards worth zero. If your initial two card tally totals over 9, for example 16, then the 1 is dropped leaving the 6 to stand as your score. If your initial hand totals 8 or 9 it is declared ‘natural’ and wins (unless there is a tie between two naturals). If either hand is natural, the hand will stand and the natural hand is the winner. If neither hand is natural another card is given to each Player, totals are taken again and the winner is then decided. Play Baccarat at River Belle
Winning Tips There are very few strategies designed specifically for Baccarat, due to the mathematical variability of the game. A basic strategy may work, but this basic strategy allows you to bet low and win high – the ethos of any good gambler. In fact you only need to outlay two coins and you stand to win 10. This strategy is known as the 1-3-2-6 system, and is a failsafe method of making easy money. It also allows you to pull out at any stage if you feel vulnerable.
